Freelance InDesign trainer

After deciding to leave teaching in 1990, I became a software trainer for Appropriate Learning, based in Clapham – at the time, Adobe’s first and only training partner in the UK.

In 1992 I left Appropriate Learning to join The Last Word – a seminal force in the introduction and spread of QuarkXPress into the publishing sector – in the earliest days of the digital revolution.

When The Last Word went into receivership in 1994, I became a freelance software trainer and played a major part in QuarkXPress rollouts at The National Magazine Company, G&J of the UK, Reed Business Information, Oxford University Press and ipcmagazines amongst others.

I have extensive experience, over the last 25 years, of working for major British book, magazine and newspaper publishers as well as central and local government agencies, charities and SME’s throughout the UK.
